NEWPORT AUCTIONS VIDEO SHOOT

We started the day shooting at a familiar place.

We did the video for XBOX LOVE here.

It was raining.

Then we moved down to the auction site where they buy and sell the cars. They also have an impressive selection of branded lorries.

We shot Eggsy doing his raps in front of some of the cars first.

They have an "Only Fools and Horses" type car there too. We had plans for this later.

The rain had eased a bit so we did a quick bit of shooting outside. You can see the stereo we borrowed off of Greyham's dad.

Eggsy did the leaning in with hand movements thing, it looked pretty good.

I just stood in the back ground.

Then we had a break for lunch. They have a cafe down at Newport Auctions doing good coffee and reasonable priced grub. Doris did us ground meat and potato splat with chips, it was very good.

Then we put some light on the "Del Boy" car.

Unfortunately they didn't like our idea of blowing it up so we decided to get the staff to hang around it with their arms in the air.

I think it was a reasonable compromise and to be fair some of the staff did a good job of putting their hand in the air. It would have been good to blow the van up or shoot it to bits with a machine gun though, it would have looked well good in slow motion on the video.

After we had all the shots we needed at the auction house we went to Big G's place to do some shots. He has always wanted to be in a video ever since he watched "Boys Boys Boys" by Sabrina when he was 6.

Big G was good in the video.

It was a good shoot and everyone at Newport Auctions was well safe.

Massive respect to Ian from Zoom too.

RHYS AND EGGSY DJ SET, PLYMOUTH UNI 25th November 2011

It all started in Newport at new train station.

And after a few light ales and a few hours on the train we arrived in sunny Plymouth although by then it was dark.

They had a good turn out at the local hippy camp and were having what can only be described as an early 90s rave to celebrate something to do with the financial sector. I was half expecting to see the crusty group "The Levellers" in the vicinity but no such luck.

We got to the Uni and were taken into a small room.

Which had a flip chart so Eggsy decided to do some pictures.

While Eggsy did a Rolf Harris, I was presented with a bottle of my favorite Christmas drink with the best name.

Eggo did Bruce Lee.

Star Wars iconic plastic villan Darth Vader.

And the West countries' most successful serial killer and builder, Fred West.

Then we went to make the party happen and play all them tunes and all that.

We decided to give some of the pictures away as a prize for the best dancer.

There was som much sexual tension in the air I was almost sick on my own pants.

It was hot in there.

Adam Thomas is a big cheese in Plymouth and apparently it's official.

After we had finished we went back to the small room.

These girls won Darth Vader.

Then Eggsy and I went back to the hotel and watched "The Great Waldo Pepper" on TV.

The next morning we got the train home, it was a long painful journey.

Rhys and Eggsy, Children In Need with BBC Radio Wales 2011

It was the day before Children In Need 2011 and we had been asked by BBC Radio Wales to be roving reporters.

We had been asked to travel through Wales, north to south, meeting the fund raisers, so we got in a fast car and headed north. Eggys took some snacks with him.

We stopped off about half way up at a service station, it didn't have a shop but the toilet facilities were second to none.

We arrived at the overnight stop which was on Anglesey and we went straight to sleep as we had to be up at the crack.

We got up and it was still dark, it was 4:30 though. We had a continental breakfast.

We got in the van and drove to RAF Valley where the king of Wales has a part time job driving helicopters. They were doing a 24 hour training session........... mental.

They were 21 hours in and looked pretty good for it, they were safe and were all going for a curry after they had finished. We told Oliver Hides and Bethan Rhys Roberts on Good Morning Wales all about it.

By now the Pudsy van had turned up and we drove straight to Caernarfon which ha s a really awesome castle that Cromwell never got to.

We went to the local Asda and met Jill who was a nutter (she is the lady on th right). We spoke to Oliver Hides and Bethan Rhys Roberts on Good Morning Wales about what was going down at Asda.

We didn't get to stay long and then we were straight off to Dolgellau

They have some great meat for sale on the high street. We played a really good gig here once (not in the butchers shop).

We were at Barclays Bank where 200 kids were leaving their toys in the bank over night to raise money. We called back to base at BBC Radio Wales and told radio smoothie, Jamie Owen all about it.

Then we got back on the road.

And went to the National Library of Wales which is in Aberystwyth, where youth were washing cars for Children In Need. They gave our van the once over.

We spoke to Jamie again, I'm not sure he knew what was going on though.

Another 2 hours later and we were in South Wales at Gower College in Swansea.

They were selling cake and drawing on peoples faces for cash, they gave Eggsy some glasses and we told Roy Noble the king of beards about it via the magic of radio.

They were having a right good time at Gower College.

Next we went to Bridgend to Itec to meet a man in a pink suit and people in pyjamas.

They had raised money by doing activities and karaoke. We spoke to uncle Roy again, if Santa was real (he isn't get over it) Roy would be Santa.

Then it was on to the Welsh Institute Of Sport, Sophia Gardens in Cardiff and spoke to Sally and Clare who told us and the Good Evening Wales team what was going down.

This was the second or third giant cheque we had seen, we were a bit disappointed that we hadn't seen anyone in a bath of beans but hey, you can't have everything.

We finished the day at the Royal College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. We were guests on the live TV show at the end to fill them in on the day we had and where we had been. It was a long day but it was awesome fun.

Wales raised over 1.3 Million on the night.

Good work.

The Witchwood, Ashton Under Lyne 13th November

We woke up in Ashton Under Lyne. It was a Sunday, I wanted a roast so me and Lozza went to JD Wetherspoon.

After our feast we bumped into the others who had gotten up and decided to forage for scran.

We walked through a traditional market selling all types of crap like army clothes and fake guns, DVDs and broken electrical equipment. They also sold what they claimed to be old QVC stock. Eggsy use to run QVC in the late 90s.

By now Ross' face was starting to fall off. The only way to put it back on was with booze and food.

The boys didn't fancy the posh roast at the JD Wetherspoon, so they went for the pub next door which had a slightly different class of violence in the air.

Some of the boys spent 20 minutes trying to read the menu.

Billy knew exactly what he was going to get.

Mexican slop in a bowl.

Adam did well with his choice of ham, eggs and chips with a side of coffee and garlic bread.

Greyham went for a rich creamy sauce over pasta, it looked sick.

It was like something out of the film Goodfellas but with less helicopters and a crap soundtrack.

On the way back (Greyham was in a race to get to the toilet), we bumped into the Maggot.

Maggot was hungry, he started with Greggs the bakers and a sausage roll.

Which he enjoyed in Marks and Spencer.

Then he went on the the main course.

A taste "death in a box" burger.

And rounded it all off with a delicious pint for desert followed by more pints and then a few more pints.

We were back at The Witchwood, which is a great pub.

Greyham put 14 quid into the jukebox.

Billy had a few games of pool.

These young boys came to talk to us about stuff, I think they wished they hadn't.

Then it was time to get into the dressing room and get ready to play the gig.

The Witchwood is a great venue.

And we had some guests on stage.

After, I hung out with some of the crowd.

Then went back to the bus for a bit. Mike had cut his finger.

Then some of the boys went back in to The Witchwood to party. Adam ended up trying to push his phone into his head at the end of the night, he had a good time.

Then the party was over and it was back Port side.

Big up to The Witchwood.

The Tivoli Venue, Buckley 12th November

We woke up in Buckley.

Billy was first up and got his teeth clean ready for a day of beer and football.

Ross got up and had managed to clean most of the pen of his face the night before.

He didn't seem too happy.

We left the compound and went in search of a friendly pub that was showing the football.

Adam and Mike decided to get some grease in paper and push it into their faces on the street.

Greyham found his favourite film in a DVD shop that also sold things people had left on the side of roads or in skips.

Billy and Ross chose to buy some "food" from a high street cafe.

And Maggot and Eggsy got breakfast.

Here, at a place for the dying. It was like a waiting room for the graveyard.

Eggsy wasn't overly impressed with his delicious meal or the rust floating in the tea.

The other boys were very happy with beer and football.

And even a game of pool or two. The table was very fast.

Then we did a quick sound check.

And before you could say "it's twelve o'clock", it was twelve o'clock.

So we went on and did a show.

Maggot did some shout outs.

And we all had fun.

After the gig we met some of the crowd.

Billy met the girls.

And Adam met the boys.

It was a great gig.

A group called Doors Alive had played here a few weeks before us, they sound pretty good but fake Ray Manzarek was proper fat, not like the real one (I saw it on youtube).

After the gig the guy who runs the place took me up to the top floor to show me the ghosts. Apparently over 400 people had died in the building over the last 100 years. He seemed convinced there were ghosts, I wasn't, but he told a good story. He said we could stay in the building alone until 7am. I decided it was better to go and get drunk.

Next stop, Ashton Under Lyne.

The Forum, Hatfield Uni 11th November

And we were back on the road.

We were off doing a trio of dates, the last of the year, starting out at Hatfield Uni.

We had only been on the bus for 15 minutes and Greyham's eyes looked like this.

We arrived at Hatfield and went straight to the dressing room to check out the crisps and chocolate.

Then we put Adam in a fridge.

And went to get some grub at the Uni pub.

We were promised high class gourmet food, but what we actually got was frozen food you give to people you hate or want to kill. Eggsy was promised an "ultimate burger", what he actually got (for 8 quid) was something you feed to animals you get for Christmas but never wanted and can't afford to feed properly.

He felt a bit ripped off.

Luckily friend of the GLC Milly, had brought us a massive bag of biscuits.

RESULT!

Maggot turned up too, which was nice.

Greyham decided it was time to get back on it and get drunk for the second time in one day.

The club night we were playing was called Flirt and some people came to tell us about it with a big sign.

Then it was time to get ready for the show.

It was massive.

And there was plenty of sweat.

John Lozza was doing the merch and hanging out and making friends with Milly.

After a few drinks in the club we got back on the bus and found Ross asleep.

We got on the move and started the drive to the next venue.

We stopped off at the services on the way to the next gig and tried to buy some condoms to put on Ross' head, unfortunately we bought flavoured lube by mistake. The cherry flavour was the best.

Ross was still out of it.

So we got on it a bit more.

And so did Ross when he woke up.

Next stop Buckley.

Cariad@iaith Christmas special

All of the crew had been invited back to learn more Welsh and film a Christmas special.

In the summer me, Colin Charvis, Helen Lederer, Josie d'Arby, Melanie Walters, Lembit Opik, Matt Johnson and Sophie Evans had gone to a posh camp site and this time we were taken to a massive old house in South west Wales.

It was well nice, I picked out a bed and had a quick look around.

We were staying in the great house in Laugharne, which was great.

Matt turned up a bit late coz he had had some trouble sleeping.

We put some silly hats on to get us in the mood for learning Welsh.

I went with the turkey hat

It turned out Sophie wasn't going to make it coz she was doing loads of shows in London, she is Dot in Wizard of Oz.

We had a quick lesson.

After the lesson we went for a walk as the sun set.

To a grave yard where Welsh alcoholic and writer Dylan Thomas is buried.

He lived in Laugharne for a few years, apparently they had some good pubs that he really liked. He also had a shed and a boat house.

Dylan Thomas use to write in the shed and sometimes in this house by the water called the Boat House. Not sure if he had a boat though.

We walked around the corner to a romantic hotel.

And some of us had a go at burning some local food on a very hot cooking thing.

Matt really got the hang of it and burnt the food really well.

Then it was back to our new classroom for more learning.

Some people stayed on after to swat up with Nia one of our lovely teachers.

Down stairs there was a mountain of booze.

And suddenly a party was going on, well it was Christmas.

Matt is a keen gardener in his spare time and noticed the herb garden was wilting due to the lack of rain and he made sure it was well watered.

Then, by the magic of computers we managed to get hold of Sophie after she had finished her West End show.

We wished her a Happy Christmas, Nadolig Llawen in Welsh and then it was time to sleep, we had a big day ahead.

I was sharing a room with Lembit.

Before you could say Seane Corn (who is a very famous Yoga instructor), it was morning and Siôn Corn (Welsh for Santa) turned up with his bell to get us out of bed.

Then Santa got changed out of his suit and brought us gifts.

He brought us a full Welsh breakfast each, which was much appreciated.

Then it was back to school and the big surprise, we were going to learn and perform a panto in Welsh!

We went through the script a few times

It was a hard lesson and we tried to learn our parts.

Then, we were bundled into fast cars and taken to secret locations.

Mel, me, Charv and Matt were told to put on radiation suits.

And given a dead turkey to pluck.

It wasn't what I was expecting but we got on with it and did the best we could.

It turned out we were going to eat the turkey that night.

We decided to call it Sophie.

The others we taken to make minced pies, I think we got the short straw on that one.

Then it was back to learning the lines for the panto, it was Cinderella.

We had some down time and some of us chilled out and others kept on going through the lines.

It went dark.

We were very lucky coz the production team had gone to the trouble of providing some costumes for us to wear for the show.

Unfortunately they hadn't bothered to get the right sizes.

Josie looked good as the handsome prince.

Lembit was the Fairy God Mother and Mel was Buttons which had a different name in Welsh which really threw me. To be honest I only worked out she was meant to be Buttons about 2 minutes ago.

Helen was a mouse and a horse.

And Charv was Cinderella.

Me and Matt were the ugly sisters.

I thought we looked pretty good and so did Aled the chef.

After the show, which was a roaring success we got changed.

Into evening gear for a big Christmas dinner. My suit cost 40 quid from Primark.

The button fell off the jacket when i put it on.

Aled Williams who runs a top restaurant in Beaumaris cooked the dinner, it was amazing.

After we had eaten till we felt sick we were given paper with Silent Night aka Dawel Nos to sing.

Then we withdrew to the drawing room.

We had a good old sing song and we even had the theme from the Last Of The Summer Wine played on the trumpet which drew a few tears around the room.

About 3am those of us still standing started playing party games.

I have no clue what time this went on until but it was a good few hours.

When I got up the next day everyone was gone, it was like it was all a dream.

Then it was back to reality.

Electric Ballroom Camden 4th November 2011

Eggsy and me were already in London and had waited all day for the others to turn up, to be fair they were only 2 hours late.

When they arrived it was 6pm so we had to move fast and get the gig set up.

So they all went to the pub and nearly missed the sound check, luckily they got back in the nick of time and we checked the sound and it was alright.

We had Devises legend Chip Daddy as support and he and his crew banged out a load of songs and got the crowd hyped. He is only 14 and we had to get him special wristbands and hide all the alcohol in the dressing room.

Before you could say "I'll have a pint of lager and a packed of Big D nuts", it was time to go on and do a show.

The crowd were well rocking.

Chip Daddy and his crew came on at the end and showed of the dance moves they had learned from their parents. Dan "Dipper Nan" Tracey was in the house too, he came dressed as a teacher for some reason.

The show was banging.

The boys got cleaned up and headed to an after show party and didn't get back home till 7:30am.

Eggsy and I had to get the last train home coz he had to do some Radio with Rhod Gilbert and I had to dress like a tranny for S4C (the Welsh Channel 4).

We met Irush4th on the street outside the venue, he had a pogo stick.

Awesome.

Wales vs France 14th-15th October 2011

We got up mega early and got on the train.

We were being sent to Paris to be roving reporters for BBC Radio Wales to report on the Wales vs France game that was going on in the Rugby World Cup. The match was happening in New Zealand.
We were just about waking up when we arrived at Paddington.

We got on the tube. We were taking a whole bunch of equipment with so we could communicate with base back in Wales. Eggsy was carrying a box that looked like it contained weapons grade plutonium.

Getting through customs was fun but we made it and at last we were on the EuroStar bound for gay Paris.

Soon we were in France.

We got off at Gare du Nord. Drum and Bass DJ Goldie had been on the train too and he followed us for a bit. I think he thought we knew where we where going. We didn't.

Before we went to size up the enemy we thought we better sample the food.

It's rubbish.

So, we hit Paris and tried to find some rugby enthusiasts.

We went to the mini Statue of Liberty, the internal frame that holds up the one in New York was designed by Gustave Eiffle, that's right the dude who ripped off the Blackpool tower.

We went to get some culture at the Musee du Louvre. We had been here a few years ago and smashed up a copy of the Mona Lisa in this very spot for a magazine article. I can't remember why but we upset the local police and nearly got arrested. That could have been what the magazine had planned, good thing I'm a smooth talker in French.

Next we hung out in a park for a bit and tried to rig up the satellite phone.

We had only met one French person who knew the RWC was on so far and he had been drinking and seemed confused as to which day it was.

We couldn't get the sat phone working so we moved to an open space.

Eventually we spoke to the evening show. This is the radiation machine that speaks to the satellite.

It looks like a crap laptop but was very expensive. It will also cook your insides if you stand in front of it.

We walked some more and found a statue of Winston Churchill who's mother was American by the way. They love statues in Paris.

Finally we made it to the Eiffle Tower. This was the last major structure to be built of iron and was the tallest building in the world until The Chrysler Building was built in 1930 (even though it only held that record for 11 months).

We still hadn't found anyone interested in the rugby, I even spoke to some Australians and they seemed to hate rugby.

We tried to contact base and report our findings.

We couldn't get the equipment to work.

So we went for some light refreshments and called it a day.

The next day we got up and went to find somewhere to watch the game. We had hoped to find a place full of locals all hyped up but we found an empty bar with some cleaners doing the floor.

Still, they were showing the game.

Eggsy decided to see if the food had got any better. It hadn't.

And worse still we was robbed and we lost the game.

So we went to show our defiance at the Arc de Triomphe, where they won't let you fly a flag or do a radio interview. The police were very nice to us.

So we went to find the only Welsh connection we had left, a Welsh restaurant.

It turned out that it had shut last year but the web site was still online.

We found a place to site and consoled ourselves with cake and did our last link up with the crew back home.

It had been a long 26 hours in Paris and even though we had lost the game of rugby the nation of Wales had been brought together. The nation of France only seemed to care after they had won.

We went back to the station and tried some local (Belgium) beer.

We Traveled back home and on our journey we realised that even though we had lost the game, at least as a nation we had pride in both victory and defeat.

Vive La Wales!

Bestival 2011

We got on the bus about 11pm on Saturday night and had a few drinks.
Billy went to sleep for a while in the back lounge of the bus.

Billy being asleep didn't stop us having a rave though.

We stopped in at a services, I have no clue which one. Mike found a new game to play.

Mike did ok for a first attempt.

I went to sleep and missed the joy of the Ferry crossing and woke up the next morning at Bestival to find Big G watching Wales vs South Africa (rugby world cup) on his iphone.

Ross woke up next he had gone yellow and red.

Greyham got up and we went for a look around the back stage area.

We found a cocktail bar.

And a seating area that turned out to be wet, he had a wet ass for the rest of the day.

When we were all up we went to see the main festival site.

Bestival is awesome!

Seriously awesome.

We met up with Mary from the Sunday Times or one of them papers that the Murdoch's own. We had a chat to her about stuff.

After, Adam was hungry and found a farmers market.

Adam is growing some veg in his garden, he isn't really a farmer but they still let him buy some sort of quiche.

Mike was more interested in the fry ups they were doing by the gift shop.

I told him he should come to the backstage catering tent as they were doing a Christmas dinner (which was my second of the week).

This is Chris, we had met him for the first time on the festival site earlier, he seemed safe but who knows, he could be a killer.

We were walking down to do a show on Bestival radio.

We did an hour there, it was great fun. I love radio.

We got back and found Mysti who had been to the toilets in flip flops and ended up with human feces all over his feet.

Then we all got ready to do the gig, Greyham put his Elvis costume on.

I decided Greyham needed to complete the look with some side burns, so I drew some on with a permanent marker.

Then we got in a 17 seater scum bus to go to the stage.

When we got there Mr Motivator was on doing a fitness routine.
Bestival is awesome.

Some of the crowd had come to the fence by the side of the stage to say hello.

Then we went on to rave it up.

The crowd were pumped especially after Mr Motivator.

We had a great show and the crowd rocked it.

We said goodbye to some the crowd by the fence. Some of them broke through.

And got on the scum bus with us.

It was Milly, who is an old friend of the GLC. By the way I have no clue who the kid on the left is.

I went to take advantage of the free massage service and Zoe Ball and Huw Stephens turned up to say hello, they were more interested in what was going on to the left though, I don't know what they were looking at.

When I got back from my massage (Don Letts and Mick Jones were being interview for French TV in the tent I was being massaged in. There was a sheet hanging down to separate the massage bit off. It was kind of weird), I found Big G. He had been trying to go to the toilet all day and had just realised he had taken the wrong tablets in the morning. He had mistakenly taken anti diarrhea instead of head ache tablets which was odd cause his head ache had gone. I spoke to him just now though and he still hasn't been to the toilet.

so we repaired to the cocktail bar. Big G really wanted a cocktail, the problem was they didn't do cocktails.

So at half 9 we left the site and headed for the boat, we were booked on the 10:15 ferry.

I had a delicious feast on the ferry.

On the way home we had to stop at the services and empty the toilet on the bus and clean it cause someone had taken a dump in there. The first, well probably 6th or 7th rule of being on tour is "don't shit in the tour bus!" I reckon it was Vern by the way.
Greyham and Mysti spent 20 quid on a shoot em up.

Then we drove back to Newport and by then Ross was proper smashed.

And Greyham's face had changed shape.

Festival season is over for another year and what a way to go out. Thank you Bestival!

Merthyr Rock 3rd September 2011

We started the day with a fry up and a nice easy beer at our local pub.

And at about 3pm we got in the van and headed to Merthyr for the biggest music festival they have ever had. It was called Merthyr Rock and we were very excited about it.

They were putting it on in the grounds of Cyfarthfa Castle which is well old but not as old as it looks.

We were taken to the dressing rooms and given vouchers for dinner and promised loads of beer.

While he was waiting for the beer to arrive, Billy went through the words for the songs. Adam and 2Hats were on annual leave and Maggot had had a break down after his dog had been run over so we were seriously down on numbers hence Billy learning the words.

Ross, who has always been to scared to do any of the raps, was wearing one of my old T shirts. I had about 500 million and had to make some space so I gave them to the boys. This was one of my favourites.

Bethan Elfyn, she does the Radio on BBC Radio Wales, had a tent up there too.

She had invited us to go head to head in a quiz against Sean and Keith from Merthyr post hardcore metal band The Blackout. I love a good quiz and my main man Eggsy is the quiz king, I knew we would win. We had asked for questions on Police Academy but when we got there we found out it was a pop quiz.

We still won.

There was no time to bask in the glory of winning the quiz. As soon as we were done we had to run and go to the stage (that's Eggsy's dad Ruts with Billy, Ruts is well safe).

We had some guest dancers with us. Jamie Taylor, not only did he read the news for us when we were on XFM South Wales, he also plays the bass guitar to a high standard in his Coral tribute band, The Broken Vinyl Club.

We went on and did all them songs and all that.

Some dude had made a sign.

BLUE WAFFLE is the name of our new album out 17th October.

It was a good rave up and it was nice to see Leroy Fashions back on the stage with us in his old red track suit.

After the gig, Greyham got fully naked in the dressing room, I didn't take any photos of that though.

Jamie Taylor said he had had the best day of his life.

And the Mayor of Merthyr and his missus came to have a chat.

Later, Billy found a huge computer.

It said we killed it! I thought we were quite good.

We missed Cast but went out to watch popular dad rockers Ocean Colour Scene.

I found Billy dodging the rain.

The people in the crowd were having a really good time. This woman tried to have a conversation with me but I couldn't understand her, she was well smashed.

And Greyham and Ross were flying too.

We went home and some of the boys went off to the pub, Billy went to a curry house and seems to have lost all bag with all his stuff in it but he did make it home.

It was a great festival and we all got smashed.

V Festival 2011 Weston Park, South Staffordshire

We woke up in Weston Park, South Staffordshire for day 2 of V Festival.

Adam took his wardrobe to the dressing rooms.

And Big G went through his personal cleansing routine.

We had about 10 hours to kill till the gig and we had to try and stay sober. Adam decided to catch up on what was going on in the world.

And Greyham went to the canteen for some gruel. I have no clue what it was he was eating.

Last year at V we had had some snaps taken of us with some curry for a book called "love food hate racism" or something and they had some of the snaps up in the canteen. Loads of other bands and famous types are in the book too.

Maggot and Mike hung out by the bins for a bit.

Then it was time to go and have a walk about the festival ground.

And meet some of the nice people who were up for a weekend of partying.

K T Tunstall was on.

And I managed to maker her say Clunge.

It wasn't raining which was nice.

It's amazing how many people wanted to have a photo with a sign that said clunge.

Some people even had Clunge written on them.

This girl was 7 feet tall.

These girls liked clunge.

And these boys loved clunge.

We had lost the rest of GLC but we had a great walk around and it's always nice to meet the festival goers.

Before we went back to the other side I gave this guy the clunge sign, it was the last I saw of it.

We hung out with Dynamo and he did some magic for us.

We were still tying not to get too drunk.

Maggot played the smallest mouth organ ever to try and get his mind off the free booze mountain that was in the tent next to our dressing room.

Mike went to get some food and decided on cheese and mini eggs.

And Nikki Grahame came to hang out with maggot.

Then these girls came over and we gave them some placards.

Big G got Amy Winehouse out and had a go on her (by the way the scooter is called Amy Winehouse, really, it is a long story one day I will explain, it use to belong to her but there is more to it than that........ Lets just leave it there.)

Any way, it went dark and these two nut jobs we gave the placards too attached themselves to us. One had her face painted like a tiger and the other had some pen on the left side of her face, that should tell you something about what they were like.

Turns out they worked for Easy Jet.

It was 10 o'clock and we hadn't got drunk. Well we hadn't got really drunk.

We went on and smashed the show.

The crowd were amazing.

It was a proper good gig.

After the gig we got it together we went and hung out back stage and got on it.

The last thing I remember was Greyham asking this dude if he knew where Adam Hussain was.

Unfortunately the dude didn't know who Adam Hussain was and probably never will.

About 20 minutes later Greyham didn't know who Adam Hussain was either.

V Festival 2011 Hylands Park

We had traveled from Bristol after the massive gig at Start The Bus. It was a heavy night.

We got it together and went to find the dressing rooms.

On the way there we passed the tents giving out free stuff.

Mac make up gave me some stuff for the missus, Firetrap wouldn't even let us in there tent,
but Sony gave us free headphones which was well nice of them. Thanks Sony.

We had a nice dressing room which had fruit and chocolate in it so Maggot and Mike were both happy.

We spoke to some of the nice people from V festival.

And then it was cocktail o'clock!

After the cocktails it was time to hit the crowd and go for a walk about with our rather well made placards.

Just then it pissed it down.

But we made a good fist of it.

People were trying to get cover from the rain everywhere, people were even hiding under and in the bins!

Still we met some nice people on our walk.

People were still up for a party even if there was a light shower.

But I think most people had gone to the Strongbow tent which was banging.

It was nice to see a light police presence watching over us too.

We decided to head to the tent.

We were playing in here at 10:35pm.

After we got back and the sun had come out it was time for lunch.

They do some good food at V Festival.

Maggot had a 3 course meal. I had 7 courses.

Then it was time to chill and have a few more cocktails.

It went dark and we got tipsy.

We went to the stage and found that they had a problem with the sound and we had to cut the set time, unsafe.

We went on and smashed it. Everyone's favourite robot Titan came on for a dance too.

It was a good rave up even though we had to cut a song or 2.

We were given some Champagne to celebrate.

By 3am it had turned Greyham a bit fruity.

We got in the bus and rolled on to day 2 of V Festival in Stafford.

Start The Bus Bristol 19th August 2011

We were heading off for a fun weekend of gigs starting in Bristol at Start The Bus.
Mysti had brought all his washing with him.

We were given a room above the club to use as a dressing room.

And then we were taken back downstairs to the club to have some tasty burgers.

After the tasty burgers we went back upstairs and Big G found a secret room. In the secret room was a TV from the 70s and Big G's favourite ever game. He was well happy.

Mike Balls didn't play the game.
The burgers seemed to have an odd effect on him as he found loads of old clothes and put on a dress.

It turned out we were in a place that had until recently been a vintage clothing outlet once robbed by Peaches Geldoff.
I found a rather nice pair of red trousers and as Freddy said "pick it up, put it on".

We then did tricks off the steps on Amy Winehouse (Amy Winehouse is the name of the scooter, it used to belong to Amy Winehouse.........it's a long story).

After a couple of hours the party boys came back from the pub singing the theme music from Morecambe and Wise.

Soon after that we found a toilet.
It was getting close to stage time.

We had a quick practice of the GLC "stage craft" and we were off.

To stand outside for 15 minutes while they looked for the key to the door that lead to the stage.

Then we did Britain's hottest ever gig.

We decided we would do as many songs as we could, I think we did 18 or something like that.

It was awesome, Start The Bus is a great gig, and we had a stage invasion.

It was well hot.

Back in the dressing room, forward slash ex vintage shop, Maggot found the towels although they were a tad on the small side. Still he managed to have a shower and wash and dry all his important areas.

Then we cleared out and said goodbye to some friends who had come to the gig and we got on the bus bound for V Festival.

Massive respect to Start The Bus.

Boomtown fair 13th August 2011

We got on the scum bus.

We were off to play at Boomtown which was near Winchester.
We had to stop off so Mike could try and win a major prize.
He didn't.

Eggsy nearly bought a Burger king but they were asking 4 quid for a cheese burger so he had a pastie instead.

We got back in the van and drove on, these people kept driving along side us. The woman in the passenger seat was sitting there with her tits out. Kind of weird, it was like the 70s with echos of Fred and Rose.

We got to Winchester and picked up Maggot and his young friend.

And ended up getting to the stage at Boomtown with about 20 minutes to spare.

Billy got into the cider.

And Mike got involved with the brandy.

This is Kaptain, he lives in Cardiff but is also mayor of Boomtown.

Eggsy got ready for the show and put his Wales rugby Under Armour top on, he knows nothing about rugby but it is a good look.

MC Flatpress turned up to to do Soapbar with us.

These high class ladies were dancing on the stage before us and they came to say hello.

Then we went on to rock Boomtown.

We were thrown some clothes.

And a wig.

The gig was full on.

We announced a wedding and 2 birthdays.

It was well safe.

Mike and Ross had a great time.

And some Victorian prostitutes came on stage at the end and made friends with Greyham.

There were some fresh looks about.

And Eggsy hung out with a woman with some pen on her face and someone else who was either a man with long hair or a woman with big hands.

Adam wanted to rave.

So did Greyham.

He was proper going for it........for 2 minutes.

They had some propaganda on the walls of Boomtown.

And there was a roller disco.

Adam managed to find something that interested him.......

A cider bar.

I had a pint of Wobbly Leg, it was called something like that, either way it smashed me right up.

There were some proper weirdos at Boomtown but everyone was having fun.

We met some of the people who had watched the show.

And by the time it had gone dark and we were ready to go home, Greyham was smashed.

We got on the bus ready for a long journey.

We had to stop of to get some food. Everywhere was shut but they taunted us by just leaving food lying around. Scum.

Adam decided tthe best way to get over the hunger was to sing.

Greyham tried to drive home.

So to try and forget about the lack of food we decided to see if we have the X Factor .

And I think we probably do.

When we got home we found out that Billy web had been caught short at Boomtown.
He was unable to find any toilet paper though and chose an alternative to clean himself up with.

GOOD TIMES.

Monmouth Festival 29th July 2011

We got in the van to go to Monmouth.

We were playing the festival, it is in it's 29th year now, and they knew what they were doing.
They had put some lager in a fridge with some shoes on it, proper rock and roll.

The party boys went to the local and had some drinks in plastic cups.

Some of the others hung out in the compound.

Then the party boys came back and we got on it.

I found out I was wearing one of Maggot's T shirts, it had been at my house for 5 years. He is never going to get it back now.

Mysti's was wearing his own clothes.

We had a competition winner come and say hello.

And then it was time to smash the place up.

The crowd were proper up for it.

They were going nuts.

It was like an illegal rave with a light police presence and a stall that sold candyfloss.

We did all them songs and all that and.....

We had such a good time we decided to do the now famous GLC human pyramid.

Eggsy enjoyed it so much he spent the rest of the night pretending to to be an ancient mummy from Egypt in honor of the human pyramid.

Even the punters getting thrown out were having a good time and so were the security.

We had about 8 bras thrown on stage and a shoe.

After, we went out to meet some of the people who had been in the crowd.

It had been a good gig.

Everyone had had fun.

As usual Mysti ended up talking to men all night.

I think the party went on for at least 20 minutes after we had finished playing.

I wouldn't want to be the one to clear that mess up.

Safe Monomouth, can we come back next year?

COCKROCK 22nd July 2011

We got on the bus at 11pm to travel to Cokermouth.
Big G was coming with us and Adam had kidnapped Pete who is the landlord of our local pub Baileys.

Adam had brought 2 bottles of home made wine although he had no idea who's home they had been made at or what they were made from.
They made everything go funny though.

We woke up on a farm.

I got the other boys up cause we only had half an hour.

Until they stopped serving breakfast in the farm shop and closed the access to their relatively clean toilets.
A bargain for £4:99 including tea, toast and all the toilet paper you could use.

Round the back they had a load of semi retired farm type animals.

And Adam made short time of making friends, he literally had them eating out of his hands.

Then we went to see what it was all about.

We bumped into a band called "Me And My Sister", they seemed like nice girls.

We found some dressing rooms.

And Mike had missed out on breakfast and headed straight for the burger van.

Adam had some mid morning refreshments.

And Maggot tried his luck at pulling the sword from the stone with little success.

We found the chill out area which had a nice smell of piss about it.

So we went to our dressing room which was a container that had been painted white inside.

Outside Mike made a new friend.

And then some of the boys went to try the food. And then we heard the news.

And it swept the festival site via twitter.

We went back to the tour bus and Greyham realised he had burnt most of the skin off his face.
It had been a sunny day.

Then Adam and Greyham decided to try some really really hot hot sauce.

They are stupid.

It was like 200 million times hotter than hot. I like hot stuff but I didn't try it, that should tell you how hot it was.

Greyham was sick 9 times and thought he was going to die for about 30 minutes.

After Greyham had stopped being sick and hiccuping we went back to the dressing room and got ready to go and rock CockRock.

Maggot got into the groove.

And then it was time.

The place was raving hard.

And we did a human pyramid too.

After 2hats was smashed.

And Greyham was like pure sex personified.

An amazing day out on the farm.

Builth Wells, Young Farmers Village, Royal Welsh Show 24th July

We were driven up to Builth Wells and got there well before we had to play.
Eggsy had seen a van selling Pizza and ran off as soon as we pulled up.
I went to Llandrindod Wells for a curry with the missus as we were there so early.

We were playing the Young Farmers Village of the Royal Welsh Show.
Essentially its Ibiza for farmers.
Bethan Elfyn from off the radio was there, she is well safe and had tried to blend in by dressing up like a farmer.

Everyone's favourite Mountain Ash resident Dave "Double D" Driscoll was there and he brought the vodka and stared the party.

It was time, we picked up our party bucket and went up the ramp to DJ.

It was nuts over 3000 young farmers all looking to drink and compare tractors.

Some one let about 30 farmeretts onto the stage and they were going mental.
I think they must have been at the plant fertilizer.

I was kind of scared but we rocked the stage.
DJ Spoony was on after us and I think they ripped his clothes off and offered him to their Sheep God.

It was wicked.

RHYS AND EGGSY DJ ON ISLE OF WIGHT

I had just spent a week in West Wales learning Welsh. Big G and Eggsy had come and picked me up cause we were going to the Isle of Wight to DJ at a massive event at a football ground.
We got in Big G's red bullet and drove at a steady 70 to Portsmouth.

We parked up and walked to the hover craft for the crossing to IOW.

We got picked up on the other side by a nice lady in a BMW who took us to a hotel that had a bar area with three men with five brown teeth between them.
We eventually gained access to the rooms we were going to put our tired heads to sleep in after Britain's biggest live show at a football ground, south of the M25.

To be honest the hotel looked like it had been built by Fred West.

After a short time in a local bar meeting people who seemed to think black eyes and neck tattoos were all the go (seriously, they were nice lads), we headed to the football ground and were taken into a room with some tables and chairs and a window.

A steady flow of people were led into the room a few at a time to meet us. the dude in this picture only has one ball, I wish I could remember what he called it but sadly I can't.

This nice lady came to interview us and I told her a mixture of tall stories and hard facts.

Some girls were being paid to advertise a product by getting shit faced and getting their bits out.

And the circus was in town too.

The gig was pumping and it looked almost the same as Wembley in 1986 just before Queen took to the stage.

Eggsy and Big G decided to have some refreshments before we took to the stage as nerves were taking hold.

Then we were taken to the stage to do the gig.

And the crowd were in a frenzy!
But just as we were about to go on another local band took to the stage.

We went back to the room with the windows and met up with the nicest man in show biz Chesney Hawks who had just played.

Then we had some chips.

The night dragged on.

The Fun Loving Criminals who weren't having much fun and weren't loving the organisation almost bolted cause they had to get an 11:30 ferry back to the main land but the show must go on and so did they.
After FLC had finished and their family bucket of KFC had arrived (true fact), the stage was cleared ready for us to do our bit.

There was only 35 minutes of the night left and we rocked it hard.
After we finished the crowd were kettled and some woman dressed as a prostitute from Victorian London came on and did something with fire and some metal poles.

We didn't stick around for that.

We went back the Fred West memorial hotel.

I had been a bit scared by the state of the place so in the 5 hour wait during the time they moved our DJ set around I had gone to Sainsburys and bought a sleeping bag for 13 quid.
A small price to pay to prevent a nasty rash.

The next day we got up and decided to get a bus to Ryde.

We got there and found a nice shop that sold IOW hats and replica guns.

It rained most of the way home.

I had come to Fforest to spend a week learning Welsh on TV. Fforest is a futuristic campsite in a spectacularly beautiful part of Wales. This was to be my home for the next 7 day.

It's like an eco-dome and it is incredible.

Any who, I left the dome to go see what was going on and I was confronted with a friendly camera crew, a sign of things to come.

I went to base camp and met up with the others who were going to be my class mates.
In class with me were Josie D'arby, Helen Lederer, Sophie Evans, Matt Johnson, Lembit Opik, Melanie Walters and our 2 teachers Nia and Ioan (Ian). Colin Charvis was going to join up with the group the next day.

So, after getting into some basic Welsh we were taken down to the river Teifi.

To have a go on a ye olde Welsh boat, the Corical.
We had 10 Coricals and I had seen them on TV and people always fall in the water when trying them, to be honest it was easy.

After an hour on the water we had a much needed dinner.

Then it was time for Matt, Lembit and Sophie to start technology club.

At about 10 o'clock we found the camp site had a bar, I had never seen such happy faces.

After a very broken sleep and a 10 mile run (not really, I just ran to the river and back) I was ready for day 2.

Coffee and lashings of it.

We were still fresh on day 2 and we got involved with another lesson.

The day was set up with a lesson in the morning, and an activity (that they kept a secret), then more Welsh in the afternoon followed by a live TV show at night.

It was so nice that we took the class outside.

After the lesson we had to change into some more appropriate clothing ready for the activity, I said hello to the cows who live outside my dome.

We were split into 2 groups, one on bikes.

The other, my group, climbing trees.

It really was a tight squeeze on my Dinas Powys.

After the blood had again filled my legs we got back in to more Welsh with Ioan who at this point I thought was either called Joan or Ian.

After a hard day learning we all chilled out, except for Josie who had some one on one with Ian, I mean Ioan.

I went for a look around and spied a castle.

I'm a bit of a castle nerd and I've been wanting to visit Cilgerran castle for a while.
When I got there it was shut.
Gutted.

So I walked back and was consoled with an amazing dinner, seriously the food was ace.
Sophie doesn't like vegetables by the way.

Then for some odd reason we had to learn a barn dance.
Still not sure why but it was great fun.

We all got ready. Every night at about 9 o'clock we went to air as a live show. They showed some of the lessons and some of the activities we had done that day, and tonight we were doing our newly learned barn dance live at the end of the show.

After the show was done Helen and Colin headed straight for the bar and I don't blame them.

Another dawn at Fforest.

I met up with Sophie in the canteen. Sophie and some of the others were really starting to shine with their Welsh. Helen and I were the only ones who didn't know any Welsh and hadn't either been taught it in school or been on a course to learn previously.

Day 3, lesson 1.
I was staring to feel tired and was feeling like I wasn't getting as far with the Welsh as I would have liked.

But there was a great team atmosphere and we were all enjoying the experience so much.

Until they took us to a sheep market.

Everyone except Josie was kind of freaked out by the amount of sheep sheep. They look all cute and all that in a field but up close they stink. They smell the same alive as when they are cooked, which kind of put me off them both alive and dead.
They also covered me in feces and I had to throw my shoes away.

When we got back to base we found out the others had been to practice Welsh in a shop buying nice things like Wotsits and magazines. After another lesson and a nice dinner the sun began to dip in the sky and we got ready for another live show.

They were going to talk to me and Lembit about the days experience, Lembit and bought Wotsits and I had told a man his sheep was raining.
My grasp of the language had greatly improved.

This is Gareth and Nia, they both host the live show.
Nia aslo teaches us during the day. Gareth is awesome and has an amazing singing voice which we found out later.

This chef isn't Max or OB from Hollyoaks but a top chef Aled Williams who was trained by potty mouthed TV bully Gordon Ramsey.

He was teaching us how to cook pizza, to be fair he was alright but I did have to give him a few tips on how to make a perfect pizza (and we weren't using a sourdough base either).

We all ate pizza, had a swift half in the bar then, an all to brief sleep and all of a sudden we were back in the class room for day 4.

We gathered on the grass to learn some more and then we were presented with our latest challenge / activity.

We had to get the 8 of us through this web of rope with out touching it.
It seemed easy but it was designed for 10 year old kids.

After we had failed to get everyone through the web we had some down time and Charvis and Matt practiced golf (or their version of the sport).

Then we gathered for the live show.

Matt and I built a fire and Matt found an interestingly shaped piece of wood.

Then on live TV Melanie and Lembit Abseiled (which is a German word, oh the irony, we are learning Welsh) down the wall of death.

This is Eric. He went first, he is over 200 years old and jumps out of planes and climbs mountains when he isn't abseiling. On his 194th birthday he did a bungee jump 26 times.

After the wall of death we all went to Matt's dome to burn more wood and to have a drink and celebrate the welsh language.

It had been a late one and we had celebrated the Welsh language possibly a little too much.
I had ordered some bacon and the cooking staff had been kind enough to warm it gently for me.
They also gave me what looked like a dog's penis but it turned out to be a rather delicious sausage.

Then we were back in the room.

We became a human sentence.

Lembit might have got a bit bored cause I found this on his desk. Read into this what you will but don't be surprised if he goes postal one day.

Then they took some of us to the beach!

We put on wet suits and snorkeles.

We got into the water and dove for crab. I hadn't been in the sea for years it was amazing.

For reasons I don't fully understand and won't even begin to attempt to go into, a gorilla watched us from the shore.

This was what we came for, Spider Crabs.

We went back for the afternoon lesson and found out the others had been skinning rabbits and ripping their guts out, fun.

My new best friend, coffee.

We had some spare time before dinner and Ioan (Ian) thought it would be fun to teach us some Tai Chi, which it was.

Then after dinner there was some bonding time.

And another live show where we cooked the animals and sea creatures we had killed or skinned and eviscerated earlier that day.

Charv loved the crab.

That night everyone went up to the bar and Lowri Evans did some songs and we all celebrated Wales with songs hymns and drink. It was amazing to hear and a night that brought us all together in the best way possible.

I think I might have still been slightly drunk the next morning.

We met up for the penultimate day of lessons.

We were taken back to the river and for some reason the Welsh seemed to click for me today. It had felt like I wasn't getting anywhere, the others were all doing so well. It was like all the Welsh they had known had come together and they could do sentences and everything.
I realised how much I had actually learned. I couldn't do elaborate sentences like some of the others but I knew lots of words and could comprehend so much when I listened to conversation.

We split into 2 groups again. Matt's group were standing on some polystyrene and paddling down stream.

We were in canoes. It was well relaxing to be honest I had been waiting to do this all week.

The others seemed to be having a good time, Lembit had been in the water about 20 times though.

Matt and Charvis took a different approach.

After lunch we got back into the lesson and started building sentences, and some of us put on some nice scarfs.

Then it was the last but one live show.

Earlier they had taught us a song called "down by the sea" or "Ar Lan y Mor" in Welsh.
They made Matt and Sophie do a duet, they were great.
Then they made me Charvis and Josie do it, Josie was good, Charvis and I were not so good.
I had spent 2 hours learning it by heart and when we came to sing it live it was in a completely different key and speed, well that's my excuse anyway.

After the show we wound down with a few steady drinks but nothing like the previous evening.
Lembit made a new friend.

The last day of learning and we had a breakfast of cooked bacon and eggs.

Then we got into position for the final lesson.

After the lesson we were taken to the Tarfan Zinc which is a well known pub.

They sell Big D nuts!

We practiced marrying Welsh and drinking one more time and found that we had nearly mastered it.

Then we headed back for one last meal together.

It was the last show and family and friends came to see us, Big G and Eggsy arrived and were very confused as to what was going on.

Lembit put a suit on and we realised it was almost over. I had made some great friends on my week long adventure at Fforest.

After the live show there was much emotion and Nia our teacher almost cried.

We presented our teachers Ioan (Ian) and Nia with a card and some booze and told them how much of a wonderful experience we had had, and sorry for drawing all the cocks on the white board.

There was even a cake (even if the spelling was slightly wrong). I think I owe Matt some money for this.
We had a great night and thanked as many people as we could for a wonderful week.

The next morning was kind of sad.

I packed up and said goodbye to my home.

It was an amazing week, I wish we could have stayed for another. I was getting really good with the Welsh and had come so far. I really would love to keep on learning.

Eggsy and me had been told to turn up at this hotel on the other side of Cardiff at 2pm.

When we got there the receptionist told us to go to the back of the car park and find a building with WRU on it and there someone would meet us and tell us what we were doing and what the hell this was all about.

We were directed into a dressing room which had 8 soiled mattresses in it. It was odd and when a film crew turned up we thought we might be about to star in a very low budget porno.

Luckily it turned out it was something to do with rugby and we were shown a giant warehouse with grass in it to prove it, Eggsy still wasn't 100 percent convinced though.

Then someone handed me this shirt, it's the new Under Armour Welsh Rugby Union shirt and its well safe.

Then these two massive dudes turned up. The one on the left is George North and the one on the right is Sam Warburton, the little one in the middle is Eggsy.

So we went out side to the arena of death to learn to play rugby like men, to fight and die with honor..........and to test the new Under Armour shirt which is amazing, you kind of feel like Spiderman wearing it.

So we started with some basic press ups, after I had done 200 or so Eggsy got to help Sam out with his.

The boys showed us how to kick and later we had to try and catch the ball when they kicked it high into the air, this nearly broke my thumb. It still hurts now.

After a few hours of full on training the boys showed Eggsy what a swan dive is.

I thought it was something to do with Swansea but it's not.

Then Eggsy showed some of his skills off as I lay in the sun and nursed my thumb like a girl.

We had a great day out and only received minor injuries.

It was a sad feeling when we took the shirts off .
We felt like we lost our super human powers and went back to being normal everyday people.
I can't wait to put it back on, run around my garden and tackle my missus.

We had driven up from Bristol over night to Oswestry and had hit it hard.
Rossco was the first up.

Closely followed by Greyham.

Then 2hats found a toaster in the backstage building and made 4 rounds of toast for himself.

Eggo got up and went for Coco Pops.

At this time in the morning we were broken men.

We decided to try and pick ourselves up by going for a look around the festival site.

Greyham was feeling hungry.

And Rossco decided it was Pimm's o'clock.

Even though Billy said he wasn't going to drink today he thought a cup of Pimm's wouldn't hurt.

Backstage Adam was taking advantage of the free curry and chili.

And Mike was trying to work out the rules of computer golf.

We went over to the VIP area to do some press.

And talk to the newspapers.

And Adam and Mike had some fish eat their feet.

Ruff house!

Then we went to the funfair.

And got whiplash.

Adam and me went on the shit spinner, all the others were to scared.

And we found out why. At this point I am screaming "make it stop".

I nearly lost control of my self, it was nuts.

There was just enough time for a quick cocktail.

And then Mike took us to a football based game.

It was shit.

This is all the Osfest crew, they are well safe!

Example (he is a singer or something) was on after us and he brought a TV with him and set it up so we could watch the Champions League final, well some of it cause we were on stage during the second half.

It was a great gig and we kind of broke the stage, well Billy did in 3 places.

After we met some of the party people.

We got on it and Rossco eat the left over sandwiches.

On the way back to Wales we got woken up at 8am cause the bus had broken down and one of the wheels had nearly fallen off.

So the bus company fixed us up with a limo to get us home safe.

Some of us felt truly alive, others weren't quite so chipper.

On the way we stopped off for breakfast.

It was a great weekend out, thank you Osfest!

Vegfest Bristol 27th May 2011

We were playing in Bristol at Vegfest. We got there about 6pm and we were going on at 8pm. When we got there we did a few interviews.

Then we got ready for the show, 2hats had a new hat.

And mike broke out the rum.

And suddenly we were ready.

There wasn't a bad turn out to be fair.

And the gig was a proper laugh.

After we hng out for a bit and met some of the Bristol massive.

Then we got on the bus and got into party mode as we were traveling to Oswestry to play at Osfest.

It was cocktail night.

2 minutes after his cocktail Billy passed, he usually doesn't last this long.

It was a proper wreck up!

Honest john Awards 19th May 2011

We were off to London and the only way to set yourself up for a big day is a breakfast at the Secret Garden Cafe in Newport.

We met the other boys and got into a new 17 seater scum bus with our trusty driver Anthony.

Soon (well after an hour of messing about) we were rollin'.

Greyham got on the sparkling French apple juice.

And Eggsy had a terrible accident, only Stan our sound engineer could help.

After Eggsy was cleaned up we stopped off so Mike could visit his favourite game machine. Minor prize also known as Pile Up (good name for a game in a motorway service station).

A few hours later and we reached our destination.
I was a little disappointed as I had thought we were playing with Aswad.

The gig was at the Water Rats and it was for Honest John who is some sort of car enthusiast. I believe they are called petrol heads by some and car dealers by others.

We hung out in the dressing room / cupboard under the stairs for a bit.

Then after a quick walk about, Eggsy got some chips.

And some of the others went to the pub across the road for beer and big plates of food.

Which I thought was very extravagant cause we had free booze and what to the casual observer looked like free fish and chips (Captain Birdseye style).

While the awards were on upstairs some of our friends, who were either hanging around or in London to see an instrumental band from Texas, popped in to say hi.

After the Awards finished it was time to do our bit.

It was a funny gig but a good gig, the crowd were there for the cars yet they seemed oddly impressed by a group of men in tracksuits from the south of Wales.

After, I played some records on my own while the others got pissed up in the dressing room and then it was time to get in the van. We also took some randoms from London back to Wales, I think they thought we were going to a hotel to party or something.

On the way back we stopped at a service station apparently. I don't remember stopping but I found this photo so we must have.

GOOD TIMES

Oxford DJ set 14th March 2011

We had spent the afternoon at MC 2hats place having a BBQ. After we had rammed in a load of under cooked meat me Eggsy and Big G got in the red bullet to go to Oxford.
We were DJing at Keble College.

We got there and met up with our contact Sam, he was ramming under cooked meat into his head when we arrived.

He took us to a room full of old crisps and sandwiches that had turned to stone.

Later the room filled up with Burlesque dancers getting changed and then this guy (who was very important) brought us a box full of yet more half cooked meat.

These two ladies were assigned to look after us, they were obsessed with internet porn. They told us about some terrible web sites and put images into our heads that would give you nightmares, still they seemed like nice girls.

Then after an hour of being told about things they had seen on the internet the girls finally took us to where we were going to play.
These guys are beer Pressure (one of them runs his own pub in High Wickham, I think that's where they got the name).
They are a covers band and do a very good Umbrella by American pop sensation Rhianna.

Then we went on.

There was a party happening.

Big G's face went all to the side, a clear indication that someone is having a good time.

I was having such a good time I did the pointy dance.

About halfway through Big G and Eggsy were inducted into the Scotch Whisky Society.

Then we were done. After Eggsy met some of the girls.

And Big G met some of the boys.

Then we went for a quick look around before we got back into Big G's red bullet.

There was just enough time for some more under cooked meat.

And then it was time to shoot back down the M4.

By the time we got home it was light and Big G was toast.

Safe.

Worcester SU 5th May 2011

We got to Worcester and had to refuel, in Subway.
Last time we came here we did the same then went for a pint across the road. Eggsy was still eating his sandwich and got thrown out of the pub.

Anywho, we were in Worcester to DJ at the SU, and they put us in a room full of crap and odd clothes most of which we tried on.

Then we had a game of Poster Smashies where you hit the other person on the legs as hard as you can, Big G is showing off his battle scars.

After a few drinks we went to the main arena to spin some Cds.

I had left most of my Cds in Mountain Ash somehow but I still had a good 2 hours of party music.

The party people were in the mood.

Big G went to meet the girls.

And he made a few friends.

I think this girl was from Wales, I think it says Ty Bach on her arm. I have no clue what that means.

A woman kept bringing us individual glasses of vodka and coke and by now Big G had drunk about 20.

We had some girls on the stage to dance.

Big G was very happy about this.

They really had some good moves too.

Then we had a few more drinks.

And met some more people who had thought it was a fancy dress party.

Big G got into the spirit and cut some moves too.

And Eggsy got into the vodka and coke.

We got a lift back to town with some of the students who all did a runner and left me to pay for the cab.

BigLittleCity 29th April 2011

The plan was to meet at 12:30 in Cardiff by the old library........
and it worked.

Adam had come in his favourite T shirt too.
We were doing a quick 20 minute gig for the BigLittleCity exhibition and cause Ashli form Spillers had asked me, Spillers is a record shop by the way.

So it turned out the sound guys had borrowed a load of equipment from the 70s and it was taking them a while to get it to function in the 21st century.

We decided to go get some food and we took Mike to a sweet shop to help his teeth fall out that little bit faster, he loves sweets.

Eggsy, me, Mike and Billy went to the New York Deli while Adam and Greyham went to a pub to drink and eat fried food.

After a quick swill we went to check out the exhibition at BigLittleCity.

There are all types of pictures and even skateboards too, it's well safe.

We hung out for a bit as final adjustments were made to the sound equipment, and Billy finished his lunch.

And Adam had a quick nap, he hasn't been sleeping well recently.

Then the 6 of us went on (Maggot is on a cruise in the Agean Sea and Mysti is in hospital having Gallstones removed).

We were only doing 20 minutes and it flew by.

We did some lovely singing too.

Then we met some of the punters.

Some had come to see us others to look at the pictures.

Others were on half term and had just discovered alcohol.

Then we went to the nearest pub and had a quick one, when I left about 30 minutes later Greyham was ordering onion rings and his 4th pint and Billy was singing Irish songs.

They got back to Newport at 4am.

Mountain Ash 24th April 2011

The only way to travel......... a Dragon Taxi.

So we got in and went to Mountain Ash cause we had been invited to celebrate Jesus becoming a zombie at the Mountain Ash Inn.

It was well loud.

And there was a robot.

This is Dave Double D Driscoll with Mike, Dave is well cool and a big cheese in Mountain Ash.

We had a few drinks, and Billy took charge of the vodka.

Then we went downstairs to spin some tunes and met the tongue twins.

This girl was off her head.
She was found face down in the toilets at 9:30 and was thrown out after soiling herself.

The party was rocking and Mike balls had pulled and it was still early.

We slammed on some old school hip hop.

You can't really see here but some dude started to breakdance. Unfortunately he got some broken glass stuck in his shoulder, it didn't stop him though.

Billy and Mike were having a great time.

The night was highly charged and you could fell the sexual tension in the air.

Even Greyham was having fun and he even got in the mic.

It was a proper rave up.

Mike said it was better than when he went to see Primal scream in London.

These are some of the hardcore ravers.

After the pub closed we chilled out upstairs for a bit with some of the local criminals.

Then we got back in the Dragon Taxi.

And Billy and Greyham had an accident that Claims Direct can't help with.

Kasbar Covenrty 26th March 2011

Woke up in Coventry.
Big G had a ruff night he had been sick in a bag.
He said it was motion sickness.......the bus was parked.

I went into town and bumped into the Maggot. He was on his way back to London to play disco music to haircuts in a London bar.
He wasn't doing the Coventry gig with us.

Then I met up with some of the others.

And we went to the great British pub called Wetherspoons.

For a light ale and some fried food.

After the fried food I took them to see the 14th century St. Micheal's cathedral, which was bombed out in the second world war.
They weren't interested.

So we hot footed it to a pub recommended by 2hat's brother to settle in and get ready for the Wales/England game.

Wales are rubbish and played really bad. They have been ruined by the last manager and are 167th in the world ratings. The game put Big G to sleep.

It was a sad day. Wales played from the back and couldn't get out of their half, but played a bit better in the last quarter of the game. 2 nil was a fair result.

After that we went back to the Kasbar and Mike was confused and disgusted at the same time by the food tray which contained 5 items he had never seen before and non of which he would contemplate eating.

Back on the bus Eggsy had spent the whole day sleeping and it was late in the day now and he needed to get it together.

We got ready, I was wearing one of my favourite shirts.

The gig was banging.

And the crowd were proper up for it.

After the gig we met some of the party people.

Billy hung out by the disabled toilets.

Some of crowd came in their own clothes.

Everyone was smashed.

The party went on till 4am.
