Plymouth Volksfest 28th May 2010

We were on our way to Plymouth for the Volksfest .
We stopped of the services in Exeter to pick up supplies.

We got to the festival site nice and early.
It was a nice day so we went to see what was going on.

Adam decided , well we forced him, to have a go on the "sloshy, sloshy puke machine".

He made sex noises every time he went upside down. It was very fun.

He wasn't sick but he didn't enjoy it at all.
The we found a more gentle type of fun ride but they wouldn't let us on cause we were too old.

But that didn't stop Adam enjoying the toys that were meant for the kids.

It was a Volkswagon festival, but we only saw one Beetle.

There was a smart looking mk1 golf, Adam really like it too.

Then we all got together to have some food.

It was from a stall selling Welsh foods owned by a dude called Brian.

When we were done with the food Dipper Nan found the free bar.
I have never seen him so happy.

These two dudes interviewed us for the official DVD for the festival.

Then Maggot started making friends.

We got ready to go on. Dreadzone were on before us and they got the crowd blazing hot. They were awesome.

Then we took to the stage.

It went right off.

We got a proper sweat on.

Then it was off to the free bar.

We got a big thumbs up from everyone.

Safe.

GLC's "Golf anthem" hits the headlines

This article appeared in the South Wales Argus.
Some of it is actually true, but most is pure lies.
The song will be out in time for the Ryder Cup.

GLC and the male voice choir, 18th May 2010

We all met up at Cearleon Uni in their recording studio.

The Ryder Cup is coming to Newport this year so we decided to record an unofficial anthem to celebrate. We were going to record a choir for for the song, but first we had a cup of tea.

Mysti was very confused by the whole thing.

The choir rehearsed and we got the studio ready.

I was at the controls and Billy had a sandwich that his missus had made him, I think it was tuna mayo.

We even did a bit of singing.

Then the boys did their stuff, they sounded great, they even did "you'll never walk alone" which made Mike, Adam and 2hats nearly cry.

After we had finished and got all the recording done Adam swapped numbers with his new friend.

There was just time for a quick snap of us all together.

Those boys are awesome.

On The Buses, Newport Transport and the GLC

Eggsy and I, being keen bus users, were asked by Newport Transport to help launch their new super cool, year 2000 compliant buses.
So we went down the the bus depot on Newport's now famous Corpa road.

They have all types of buses down there, they even had a yellow one.

They took us and a bunch of students (the girl in the middle at the back of the bus goes to prisons to chat to murderers in her spare time....... weird) from Newport Uni out to Malpas, at first we weren't sure what they were going to make us do to each other.

It all turned out ok, they just wanted to take some snaps of us and this time we got to keep our clothes on.

This is old Betty, she is 900 years old and invented the bus back in 1861. She just got divorced for the 17 th time and was looking for a new toy boy, she took a real shine to Eggsy.

After, they took us back to the depot and took a picture of us all for their records, just in case any of us had stolen anything, so they could identify us..

This is Noel, he set the whole thing up, he is in a band called Soho 75. He is also a keen angler and landed the largest fish ever caught in South Wales back in 80.

A few weeks later and we all met up again at the launch of the new buses. We met these people who had more gold than us, the one in the middle is a taxi driver I think, don't know who the woman is though.

This is us all with the new bus. It's a bit like the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars but with disabled access.

It's a funny coincidence all this bus stuff, cause Adam Hussain looks almost exactly like Reg Varney from 70's sitcom "On The Buses"

And the Maggot looks a little bit like Bob Grant too.

Funny.

The Loaded Comedy Awards - Laftas

Here is a nice write up about the Laftas.
We went and performed a few song.
It was nice to see Uncle Frank again.

SNOG MARRY AVOID BBC3

We were lucky enough to be asked to take part in one of Mike Balls' favourite TV shows.
These two lovely people came down to Wales to film us in our natural surroundings.
They made us stand in the rain for an hour.
To make up for it they bought us Chinese food from Newport's famous Slow Boat.
The curry sauce is the best in the world.
Then they filmed us doing a sit down chat.
After, we got changed into a different look. Billy went for the Christmas jumper/golf look.
And we were nearly ready to hit the town.
Just time for another quick change before the limo turned up, then it was off to Cardiff to get smashed up.
We went to Buffalo Bar where the legendary German techno group "DIGITALsex" played recently.
I got on the turn tables and everyone got tipsy on cocktails and Sambuca.
After our hangovers had died down, we went to England's entertainment capital, London, to see Jenny Frost and meet P.O.D.
There was just time for a quick burger.
Then we got on with the filming.

We looked well safe.

We met these nice people in the dressing room area who were also being "made under" by P.O.D.

Then it was time for quick trim and we got into our new gear in the dark.

Here are the looks P.O.D. came up with for us.
We had to keep our eyes shut and didn't see the looks until we were in front of P.O.D.
Adam looked really good.
Eggsy looked like a sex farmer.
And I needed a tie.
As soon as we were done we ran for the train back to Wales and we were the Chain again.
It was a load of fun though.
