December 2010, gigs and DJ shows.

Eggsy and I were going to Scotland to DJ and he didn't feel well so he had a pizza at Cardiff airport.

I didn't seem to help too much but when we got to the club they gave us a few reasons to be cheerful.

And that really worked on Eggsy.
After about 20 minutes he looked like this.

We were there to DJ to these people, they had a great time.

We hung out with some of them after.

It was a good night out and they gave us a private bar to hang out in.
Then next morning at the airport Eggsy was back to feeling ill again.

Later in the month we went to Bristol in the scum bus to play the Fleece.

Mike Balls had brought the Christmas tree from his house.

MC Flatpress turned up! I called him about 5 in the afternoon and he was still in bed, so he rolled over to do the gig with us.

It was one of the best Christmas parties ever.

Mike Balls made it through another GLC gig!

We made some friends.

And so did Big G.

Then Eggsy, me and The Maggot went to London to DJ straight after in a fast car. This girl was proper flying on drugs. She probably works for T4 or something and she was a right pain in the ass, but the gig came good in the end. It was like something out of Nathan Barley.

Eggsy made friends too.

And The Maggot had such a good time his face went all side ways.

Later in the month we were back at The Welsh Club to do the second of our Christmas gigs. Adam had broken his foot trying to break down the garage door at his parents house, that's where they keep the booze and they had gone away for 2 weeks and forgot to leave him a key.

There wasn't time to worry about him though and we went on to smash it up!

The gig was pretty good and we had a full on stage invasion after.

Greyham had a lot of fun.

Then we all crammed into the smallest room and smashed a load of booze in.

Later we got back in the scum bus.

Billy was ready for the journey home.

After Christmas Eggsy and me went to Oswestry to DJ. This girl took a proper shine to Eggsy and wanted to show him her new bra that she had been given by her boyfriend for Christmas.

They forgot to get any CD players for us so we had to wait half an hour for them so we got this girl up to sing "Your mother's got a penis", she said she knew all the words. She knew about half of them and got the half she knew in mostly the right order so thumbs up to her.

On New Year's Eve Eggo and I went to Edinburgh to DJ at the street party. It was amazing, if you haven't been then go! Eggsy stayed up till 4 drinking with Simon and Peanut from the Kaiser Chiefs, I went to bed and watched father ted, I was asleep by 1am.

Rock and Roll.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

GLC visit The Sun Online

We were lucky enough to be invited to the home of my favourite red top newspaper.
That's right.....The Sun
We set off in two cars with plenty of time to make it up the M4 and across London. We even had time to stop for some refreshments on the way, and this is were the story starts.

We stopped in at everyone's first choice, Membury services.
Greyham went for the full English, it was going to be a long day so best to get those calories in now!

Billy decided on the watery soup. It was a red nondescript soup of the type I use to have in school.
Mike thought he would try his luck on the prize machine. He has pumped over 200 quid into these machines over the past few years and only won a key chain torch (he loved that torch).

This time though he hit the jack pot and won an ipod that can only store 20 songs on it.
He still hasn't opened it, he can't even work a computer properly so syncing the ipod to it will take some time but he is still a winner in my eyes.

We got back on the road with plenty of time and London wasn't far away.

When we got to London the satnav took us straight through the centre and into the middle of a student riot.
It was all kicking off

Eggsy, me and Billy were in my mother's car and I didn't fancy it being burnt out as an offering to appease he gods of education so we redirected and headed south over the river.
Just as well really cause those students are vicious when they have had a few.

After a swift detour we (me, Billy and Eggsy) arrived at our destination and made about getting warm and ready to do a few Christmas songs.
Maggot came down from his North London mansion and joined the tea drinking as we awaited the others arrival.
The others were no where to be seen. It transpired that cause they (Adam, Greyham, Mysti and Mike), have never been to London on their own they got lost.......
So Billy did his own version of Jingle Bells.
The students had won.
The others never turned up, they just kept driving around in circles.
We did what we could and called it a day, no sign of the other boys.
We drove out and hit rush hour. Now not only were the students being "kettled" we were forced to stop in Hammersmith for a dirty burger.
God how I use to love the sensation of warm grease running down my throat, recently it seems to have lost it's appeal.
We drove late into the night and as the sun came up over the Severn bridge we got word that the other boys had reach The Sun's HQ.
Another classic GLC day out.
Thank you Sun Online and all at thebizsessions

November and December 2010

We have done a few things recently and what with all this going on and the Christmas album dropping I haven't had time to update the GLC blog.
So here is a quick one with some of the stuff what we have been up to.

We met up with the Mayor for some reason. Some dude wanted to take some snaps of us.
This is where the dudes who run Newport hang out.

They did some here too in the Civic Centre building hall way.

Then they took us to town and snapped us with golf balls. Good times.

On the 7th October Eggsy and I hosted the Voice Magazine awards in a disused shop in John Frost Square in Newport.

Grayham T Bear did the DJing. We won an award for something but Mike Balls went home before it was given out. He muttered something about chips and did a Batman.

We also filmed a few videos too. This is Jonny Lawrance. He was the DOP on the vids.

We filmed "Dubstep Christmas" at Mysti's house. lots of people thought it was a set but his place actually looks like this all year round.

Then we moved onto a manor house in Newport that is being renovated to film "You'll never be alone on Christmas day". It is an amazing place and part of it was on Doctor Who if you are a nerd you will love that (Grayham and Adam did).

Mike made an extra special effort with his out fit.

The next day we went to New Tredegar to film the second half of the video on green screen.
It was early.

Everyone was in high spirits or still drunk from the night before.

We had some great clothes to wear too.

We even found a nice pub that had food and football so all bases were covered.

We had a great crew and it was along day but a good one.

Eggsy and I have also done a few bits of DJing.
We also hosted this DJ battle for Red Bull in Cardiff.
This is Kissy Strange Love or some one, he was a judge.

We have also played a few other parties.

Rave on.

The south of England is a special place, you never know who or what you might meet on the way home.

And people love to party all over the country.

Even if they can't stand up.

Eggsy and I presented an award at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff for the Prince's Trust.
Chris Corcoran was there too and so was that woman off of Scrap Heap Challenge.

They were giving out some great food, small but great.

We also played at Cardiff's CIA.
And at the Christmas light switch on in Newport.
Eggsy and I hosted part of it.
This is Eggsy on the phone trying to find out where the other boys were as we were about to do one of the Christmas songs and they hadn't left the pub yet.
Eventually they turned up and we banged out "You'll never be alone on Christmas day", it was so cold.

We also hung out a bit with the Mayor.

Now it's Christmas.
GLC play at Bristol's The Fleece and Firkin on 11 December, Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach on 16 December and the Camden Underworld in London on 18 December.

See you there.
