GLC Cook Off (Goldie Cookin Chain) September 11th 2010

We had just walked 5 miles into Newport and now we were going to do a cook off in the market.

Before we went upstairs we said hello to some of the people in the market, this is Mysti with Dean.

We went up to Betty's cafe and got ready to cook.

But before we could start cooking we decided to go onto the streets to give out some flyers.

Adam wasn't happy about wearing his hat, he said it cut off the blood flow to his brain.

Mike was having the time of his life.
Back at base Greyham had set up the GLC shop to sell the tickets for the gig on the 25th.

I was first to cook, I had Mike as my assistant. He insists he can cook but can't remember the last time or the last thing he cooked, he said it was probably bacon cause that's all he really eats. Eggsy took to the mic to keep everyone informed as to what was going on.

I was doing Gwent Sausages. Basically it's Welsh Rarebit smashed up, rolled in bread crumbs and fried.

Big Gibbo gave them 9 and a half out of 10, not a bad start, and he used to cook in the Cross Keys Pub.

Then Adam took to the kitchen.

Adam was doing burgers (like you can't get a burger in Newport).

To be fair they looked quite good but I don't know what he was doing putting Oxo cubes in them.

I clearly won.
The Cook Off was great fun and no one got burnt, cut off an important body part or got the squits!

The Walk of Chain 11th september 2010

We stared off at 9:30am at the Celtic Manor where that Ryder Cup thing is going on.
We were walking into town along Chepstow road to advertise our celeb golf day and gig on September 25th.

We had made placards. Striblo and the Mayor of Newport (he's the one with the most gold on) and his wife were walking with us.

So at 9:45 we set off. Adam, Greyham and mike hadn't turned up yet.

After about 15 minutes Adam, Greyham and Mike turned up and joined the posse. By then were were at the Dragon Palace take away.

Further down the road we got to the Albany Guest House, one of the finest guest houses in Wales.
Amir Khan has stayed here.

This is Eggsy and Striblo at the gates of beechwood Park.

This dude stopped for a quick chat, he was on a bike.

Then we pressed on.

The mayor and his missus were storming ahead.

Mike wanted a picture here.

We had been walking for a good 40 minutes and we were just getting to Maindee.

It was still early and Maindee Fish bar hadn't opened yet, some of the boys were hungry and hadn't eaten yet.
This is Newport Cenotaph.

Then we bumped into a load of early morning drinkers, they were safe.

And then we stopped of at the legendary, and now sadly closed, TJs nightclub.

We were almost there as we crossed Newport bridge.

dam had his own personal security guard.

And before we knew it we were there, Newport market.

Walk of chain........done.

Filming for BBC Ryder Cup TV show 25th August 2010

We were filming a bit for a TV show that is for the BBC. It's all about the Ryder Cup 2010 which is being held in Newport at the Celtic Manor and what that means to Newport.
We started the day at the BBC with me in a silly wig using the teleprompter.

Then we met Eggsy at the Celtic manor and made us put on stupid clothes.

I'm use to looking like a dickhead now so we got ready to have some fun.

We went around Newport to a bunch of places and filmed the story of Newport from as far back as the Dinosaurs right up to modern times.
We stared at the castle.

And after a few stop offs we got to the transporter bridge.

We went across about 8 times. these kids were on there, one of them said he wants a Ferrari when he is older.

A few costumes changes later and we were nearly done.

We finished the day at Tredegar House, this is the boating lake were a kid drowned when Eggsy was in school around the corner.
Good Times.

V Festival (Stafford) 22st august 2010

Grayham woke up with serious morning glory.

We had got smashed on cocktails in Chelmsford last night so Billy needed a good breakfast today.

We all got up and Maggo and I went and did an interview with this guy with an awesome hair and nose combination.

Then Eggo and I walked over to the Hidden garden area where we were meant to meet some people for interviews. We had tried it yesterday but were at the wrong festival site.
We told this kid a load of lies, he said he was from a red top news paper but I think he was only on work experience.

We spoke to this dude too, he was a really nice guy.

This Brooke Catherine Vincent she plays a lezzer I think in Coronation Street. She is in love with Tinie Tempah and wanted me to tell him. I mentioned it to him later but he didn't seem that interested.

This guy had some radio show somwhere, he was safe too.

Pancho from Dirty Sanchez was in an area too, he wasn't that drunk either.

Then I ran out to meet the boys who were just getting to our stage.

They had walked across from the dressing rooms on the other side of the festival site.

It was nearly time to do the show.

So we ran back stage and got prepared. Adam put a bra on too.

The place was rammed and the crowd rocked it.

It was hot as hell but a great gig.

Grayham cooled himself off, and maggot wasn't sick this year!
We had a snap with these lovely ladies, shame about the T shirts. Carling really is the worst larger in the world. We call it "shitty piss water". Sorry girls.

Back stage and Adam's dad came to say hello

I got a free hair cut (it wasn't what I asked for) and later a massage, but not from the same lady.

Mysti or Boneman as he was now called to full advantage of the free bar.

Then we did a photo shoot for charity with our favourite food stuffs, Chicken Tikka Massala chips and rice.

And then it was time to go off to the NME tent to sign some stuff and give away Pringles and Müller Rice.

There were some of the nice people who had come to see us.

And even a member of a Madness cover band.

Oh and also a woman with a bowl of fruit on her head. Nice.

Yep!

2hats had spent 90 quid on booze, fruit and herbs to make cocktails.

We got smashed and the boys went of to watch The Charlatans while I went of to stand in piss and watch Stereophonics.

We ended up back in Newport at 4 in the morning at it wasn't pretty.

Thank you V festival!
