The Loaded Comedy Awards - Laftas

Here is a nice write up about the Laftas.
We went and performed a few song.
It was nice to see Uncle Frank again.

SNOG MARRY AVOID BBC3

We were lucky enough to be asked to take part in one of Mike Balls' favourite TV shows.
These two lovely people came down to Wales to film us in our natural surroundings.
They made us stand in the rain for an hour.
To make up for it they bought us Chinese food from Newport's famous Slow Boat.
The curry sauce is the best in the world.
Then they filmed us doing a sit down chat.
After, we got changed into a different look. Billy went for the Christmas jumper/golf look.
And we were nearly ready to hit the town.
Just time for another quick change before the limo turned up, then it was off to Cardiff to get smashed up.
We went to Buffalo Bar where the legendary German techno group "DIGITALsex" played recently.
I got on the turn tables and everyone got tipsy on cocktails and Sambuca.
After our hangovers had died down, we went to England's entertainment capital, London, to see Jenny Frost and meet P.O.D.
There was just time for a quick burger.
Then we got on with the filming.

We looked well safe.

We met these nice people in the dressing room area who were also being "made under" by P.O.D.

Then it was time for quick trim and we got into our new gear in the dark.

Here are the looks P.O.D. came up with for us.
We had to keep our eyes shut and didn't see the looks until we were in front of P.O.D.
Adam looked really good.
Eggsy looked like a sex farmer.
And I needed a tie.
As soon as we were done we ran for the train back to Wales and we were the Chain again.
It was a load of fun though.

White Wedding 13th February 2010

It was a nice day for a white wedding, and Eggsy and I were playing at one.
It was in England's trendy capital, London. Big G drove us up in his Mazda 323 aka the "Red Bullet". We put on suits cause there was a dress code although Eggsy looked a bit like he was on the way to a conference. Big G looked like has was going to work on the door, but he does look smart.
We got into the club and met some of the wedding guests.
Then we got behind the turntables, we had been asked to play wedding music and we had some classic songs to play.
People could get married there too. This is Eggsy with the vicar. Eggsy and Big G were going to have a civil partner ship ceremony but there just wasn't time unfortunately .
Big G got on rather well with this lady.
The atmosphere was great but the booze was a bit weird.
The place was full of dudes.
And we played more wedding music. Eggsy and I were doing one on one off. I played "eternal flame", "saving all my love for you" and of course, "all night long" among other great songs.
I also got on the mic.
I think these two had just got married, although she is dressed for a funeral. Maybe her fist husband has just been put in the ground, if so she is well quick off the mark. Don't know what the dude is meant to be though, some people just love dressing up.
This guy kept showing off his tiny sausage, well Nathan Barley.
Eggsy met the tooth fairy.
This picture looks like a real wedding photo.
Sick.
I had had a curry before we drove up and I was creating some really great smells. I was really proud of them but these girls were less than impressed.
After we finished playing we hung out and spoke to some of the party goers.
I got a new hat.
Then we went to the local off license and got some supplies.
On the way home we did the usual stop at the services to get ripped off.
And Big G took a bunch of Pro Plus to keep him awake and help him drive at 99 miles an hour.
He got us home safe.
I was horribly drunk.

Loaded Comedy Awards 27th January 2010

We got up at 7am and met up to go to London.
We stopped a Reading Services to get ripped off. The coffee is not only real expensive, it's rubbish too.
We were playing a few songs after the Loaded Comedy Awards in a small club just off Regents Street in London.
The room was small and we checked it out.
The place started to fill up with comedians and they passed around the canapes. Mike was loving the Thai chicken sticks.
After they had given out the awards to people like Vic Reeves and his mate Bob, Frank Skinner, Jimmy Carr, Justin Lee Collins, etc. they started serving the posh dinner.
We had to go and hang out downstairs by the toilets cause there was no room at the inn for us upstairs.
While the comedians were having their desert we went up and did 3 songs which went over pretty well (Jimmy Carr had left by then).
After, they gave us some meat on a plate with an artichoke and some bulgar wheat. Needless to say, Mike only ate the meat.
Then we went back up to hang out with the stars, well mainly the cast on The Inbetweeners.
Even Joe Mott (not the American footballer, the dude who use to write in a red topped paper) was there, he had borrowed some of his missus' clothes.
The Inbetweeners were safe.
The event was sponsored by Durex and we got given loads of sex lube and vibrating sex devices, so that was a major result!!!

After a few light ales we got in the car and headed back down the M4. On the way we stopped off for hot burgers. We didn't stop long though, Adam heard someone saying he was going to "do someone over in the car park", he got scared and made up leave sharpish.
It was a good fun day out. I shook Vic Reeves' hand, he is a proper wierdo.
